Skin Cancer: Green leafy vegetables may protect but dairy increases risk PDF Print E-mail

A recent study published in the International Journal of Cancer, examined the connection between food intake and the risk of squamous cell carcinoma, the second most common form of skin cancer. The researchers studied over 1,000 adults living in Australia over an 11-year period. Their results showed a decreased risk associated with the consumption of green leafy vegetables, and an increased risk with the intake of "unmodified" dairy products such as full-cream milk and cheese.  Read the full story...
