3rd Annual Walk for Food Allergy PDF Print E-mail
Thanks to Steve at planetlactose.blogspot.com for the heads up on the upcoming "Moving Toward a Cure" Walk sponsored by the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN).  Fundraising walks will be happening all across the United States, and I have registered Team Dairy Free for the walk in San Diego.  If you appreciate the information provided here at Go Dairy Free, please show your support by donating on behalf of our team at http://www.firstgiving.com/godairyfree

Our fundraising goal is currently at $1000, but we hope to far exceed this.  All contributions are greatly appreciated.  Even if $1 is all you can spare at this moment, it adds up quickly!  We also welcome any dairy free fans in the Southern California area to sign up for the walk with our team.  Thank you for your support.

Press Release from the FAAN (Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network):

Beginning August 19 and ending on November 18, thousands of families nationwide will be taking part in the third annual nationwide Walk for Food Allergy: Moving Toward A Cure campaign intended to increase awareness and raise research funding for a disease that currently has no cure. The disease is food allergy, which currently affects 12 million Americans. The Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN), the nation's leading nonprofit, patient advocacy organization, dedicated to increasing education and advancing research on food allergy and anaphylaxis, will be spearheading these events in 18 cities across the nation.

The Walk for Food Allergy will be occurring in Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington, D.C., and Wisconsin. Registration is now open for walk enthusiasts from every walk of life to benefit FAAN's ongoing research and education efforts. For registration and a complete list of all of the walk locations and dates, please visit FAAN's Web site at www.foodallergy.org.
