New Gluten Free Line of Energy Bars PDF Print E-mail
GoMacro Gluten Free BarsVIOLA, Wis., - PRNewswire - A new gluten free line of macrobiotic energy bars in three flavors -- Cashew Butter, Tahini Date and Peanut Protein -- has been introduced for health conscious consumers by GoMacro Inc.    According to Jolanta Sonkin, GoMacro Co-Founder, "MacroBars(TM) get their rich taste from organic brown rice syrup, a complex carbohydrate containing energy yielding nutrients that slow the entry of sugar into the blood and promote a feeling of fullness on fewer calories."

Go Macro GF BarsThe bars are available at health food stores and on the website at http://www.gomacro.com.

"Celiac disease and the associated inability to consume grain products is more widespread than most people think. Many of our customers have requested gluten-free products," says Sonkin.

The mother and daughter team operating from a farm in S.W. Wisconsin adhere to the core philosophy of macrobiotics, making products that are fresh and minimally processed. All products are shipped within a week ofmanufacture.

GoMacro was founded in 2004 by Amelia Kirchoff and Jolanta Sonkin. The duo credit their vegan macrobiotic diets with not only improving their health but also the reversal of disease.

Kirchoff, after having been diagnosed with breast cancer, experimented with natural unrefined sweeteners derived from the grains and fruits that she grew on her farm. She soon created an array of nutritious, sweet desserts that formed the basis of GoMacro.

GoMacro will exhibit their products at the Chicago Fancy Food Show, Booth 5725, May 6-8 and at the Baltimore Natural Products Expo East, Booth 2761, September 27-29.
