New Bite-Sized Chocolates from Endangered Species PDF Print E-mail
Endangered SpeciesEndangered Species, June 2007 - Just in time for Father’s Day, Endangered Species has added several new flavors to their bite-sized product line.  The miniature chocolate bars come in individually wrapped .35-ounce "bites," and are packaged in single serving bags.  Catching the antioxidant wave, all of the new bite varieties fall within their dark chocolate line:

Endangered Species

  • Dark Chocolate with Mint
  • Dark Chocolate with Blueberries and Dark Chocolate with Raspberries (combo pack)
  • Supreme and Extreme Dark Chocolate (combo pack)
  • Organic Smooth Dark Chocolate
  • Dark Chocolate with Cranberries and Almonds

Each of the so-called “Single Serving Bags” contains 13 of the .35-ounce bites, for a total of 4.55 ounces.  Definitely more than a serving, but retailing at $3.99 per bag, the quantity seems fair.

For a “multiple serving” package, pick up their new Supreme Dark Chocolate Party Favors Box.  It is filled with 150 of Endangered Species Supreme Dark Chocolate Bites (72%).

Endangered Species dark chocolate products are certified vegan.  However, it should be noted that they are produced on shared equipment with their milk chocolate line.

About the Company:

Via business practices and direct donations, Endangered Species seeks to support Species, Habitats, and Humanity.

“Our cocoa is 100% ethically traded. Philosophically, ethical trade and fair trade are one in the very same. We buy our cocoa from small family-owned properties, helping sustain the habitats and communities they are in. This cocoa is grown in the natural shade of rich, diverse forests. Choosing our chocolate is one way you can help support sustainable forest farmland and the species that flourish there. Since our cocoa is ethically traded, farmers are ensured humane working conditions and a fair price for their cocoa or a fair wage.” – www.chocolatebar.com
