Dessert Cookbook Meet and Greet Just in Time for Valentine’s Day PDF Print E-mail

After two very successful events in January, Hannah Kaminsky is continuing the bookstore tour for her new dessert cookbook, My Sweet Vegan. On February 2 from 2pm to 4pm, Hannah Kaminsky will “meet and greet” customers at the Borders Bookstore in Fairfield, Connecticut.  Store visitors will be welcomed to view and purchase My Sweet Vegan, speak with the author, and trial one of her dessert samplings ...

The demand for My Sweet Vegan is rising with Valentine’s Day just around the corner.  For those seeking the perfect gift, the cookbook itself offers a beautiful full color photo with every recipe and a wide selection of desserts to appeal to both amateur and prolific bakers. If homemade gifts are on the agenda, the author recommends her Strawberry Love Muffins from the Sweet Starts chapter or her Chocolate Cherry Truffles from among the Miscellaneous Morsels.

Prepared without dairy or eggs, the recipes in My Sweet Vegan are suitable for lactose intolerance, milk allergies, and those who are following a cholesterol-free and low in saturated fat diet.  To address multiple food allergies, My Sweet Vegan contains a food allergy index noting which foods are also peanut-free, tree nut-free, gluten-free, wheat-free, and / or soy-free.

Though appropriate for various special diets, the focus of My Sweet Vegan is indulgence for all tastes. The author focused on originality and quality by developing each recipe from scratch rather than simply “veganizing” traditional recipes.  She points out that most of her taste-testers were in fact non-vegans.

A kitchen and artistic prodigy, Hannah Kaminsky produced My Sweet Vegan during her senior year in high school at just eighteen years of age.  She was both the author and sole photographer for My Sweet Vegan, yet her work shows no evidence of her youth.  Her recipes span the generations, from lunchbox worthy treats to decadent desserts, such as her award winning Mocha Devastation Cake.

Visit www.mysweetvegan.com for more information on the cookbook and where to purchase both online and in stores.
