Food Allergy Author Linda Coss Featured on Radio Health Journal PDF Print E-mail

Lake Forest, California ~ Linda Coss, author of two popular books on food allergies, is the featured expert on the Radio Health Journal’s new food allergy report. In this 6-1/2-minute segment Ms. Coss talks about what it means to have a severe food allergy, the difficulties that parents of food-allergic children face when trying to manage this condition, why peanuts are often singled out in school policies, and more.

“Severe food allergies affect all aspects of the family’s life,” Ms. Coss explains. “It goes far beyond ‘my child can’t drink milk’ or ‘my child can’t have peanut butter.’ You have to be concerned with minute quantities of allergen—everything from what’s listed in the ingredient statement to what touched the food in the kitchen or at the manufacturing plant. It’s constant vigilance.”

A free download of this informative interview is available at www.foodallergybooks.com/radiointerview.html.

Radio Health Journal, a half hour weekly radio magazine on issues in health, medicine and society, is heard on 425 U.S. radio stations. Ms. Coss’ books, “How To Manage Your Child’s Life-Threatening Food Allergies” and “What’s to Eat? The Milk-Free, Egg-Free, Nut-Free Food Allergy Cookbook,” are available at Amazon.com, and other retailers nationwide.
