New Silken Creations Intended to Add Dairy-Free Luxury to Desserts PDF Print E-mail

I must be honest, I am a bit baffled by the latest Nasoya invention, Silken Creations.  They have put out a press release, yet there isn't any information about this new product on their website, and no pictures to be found.  It is noted as "the first ever non-dairy 'dessert starter'."  It is a liquid, it will be sold in the refrigerated section, and it is expected to be a convenience type food that will up the indulgence factor of puddings, pie fillings, and even smoothies for dairy-free consumers. So is it like heavy cream? Soy creamer? Since I can't think of a dairy-based "dessert starter" it is hard for me to imagine the uses for the non-dairy counterpart.  I assume the press release was intended more for retailers than consumers, since the product does not seem to be highly visible as of yet ...

Hopefully that means we will see more information on it soon, and some recipes on the Nasoya / Vitasoy website for how to use this great new product.  As you have probably alread guessed, this is a soy-based product. Not only is it dairy-free (and I am assuming vegan), but it is also gluten-free, naturally-flavored, low in fat and calories (hmmm, indulgent?), and cholesterol-free.  You should be able to find it in Vanilla, Chocolate, and Strawberry flavors.

Though I am not seeing anything up there yet, you may be able to find more information on the Nasoya and Vitasoy websites soon.
