Sub-Zero Temperatures or Not, This New Ice Cream Gadget is a Keeper PDF Print E-mail

Ice Cream KeeperLately, it seems as though my inbox has been filled with "ice cream" news.  Though, in the past, I was known as an ice cream addict, right about now my thermometer is set for piping hot bowls of won ton soup and freshly baked cookies (with the oven door open after baking to help warm the house!).  Ice cream has been the last dessert on my mind, so those press releases have been scooted into a "do not open until spring" folder.  However, one little ice cream invention has caught my attention, and though we are in the throws of winter chills throughout the country, I simply have to mention it ... Ice Cream Tubbies.  Wait, wait ... before you click away in disappointment at the sound of yet another gimmicky gadget, this one seems to hold some merit and for a reasonable price ...

Imagine the ability to tote up to a pint of dairy-free or vegan ice cream with you to a party for your child or for yourself!  As reported by the online food allergy shop Navan Foods, "The Ice Cream Keeper has the same properties as most heavy-duty coolers but in a much smaller container. This insulation isn’t all that protects the ice cream from melting, however. The Ice Cream Keeper also has a screw-off lid that is designed to be stored in the freezer. When frozen, the special gel within the lid helps keep ice cream cold for up to an hour and a half depending on the outside temperature. Most importantly...we contacted a representative at the company who informed us that the Ice Cream Keeper is free of BPA, pthalates, lead and PVC."

Made by Zak! Designs you can find these keepers in four colors via LaPrima Shops online for just $12.99 each.  After countless torturous parties and family get-togethers where I have been bursting for that scoop of ice cream to top the dessert (usually a crisp, cake, or pie I brought so I could at least partake in those festivities), I can honestly say that this price tag would surely pay for itself in a hurry ... and for a milk allergic or special diet child at birthday parties, this could be downright priceless!
