 Hain Celestial has an arsenal of dairy-free foods stashed under their giant umbrella of products, yet they never cease in developing new ones. Their latest introduction goes head-to-head (or milk-to-milk) with Almond Breeze and Pacific Foods, the lone giants of almond milk in the U.S. Under their Taste the Dream product line, Hain Celestial has introduced Almond Dream. It is available in Original and Unsweetened and is boasted for being lower in calories than its competitors with slightly less sugar and more vitamin and mineral fortification. However, Pacific Foods is still the only of organic almond milk. Of course, a new product introduction would not have as much oomph without a few added eye-catchers ...

Specifically targeting their new product, Hain Celestial has also offered up this deliciously sweet recipe using their new Almond Dream non-dairy beverage: Almond Dream Caramel Mini Bites Recipe from the Taste the Dream Website and Newsletter Serves 4 1 package of frozen mini puff pastry shells from the freezer section in your local supermarket. 1 cup Vanilla ALMOND DREAM® beverage 2 cups of RICE DREAM® Organic Vanilla frozen dessert 1 bottle of prepared caramel syrup ¼ cup flaked almonds toasted Preheat oven to 350°F. Set frozen puff pastry shells on a baking tray and bake for 12-15, minutes or until cups are golden-set aside to cool. In a blender combine Vanilla ALMOND DREAM® beverage with RICE DREAM® Organic Vanilla frozen dessert and blend well. Spoon mixture immediately into each of the baked puff pastry shells. Drizzle over caramel syrup and top with toasted almonds. Set back in freezer until ready to use. Let frozen cups sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before serving. |
