Last week we announced the new Dairy-Free Coconut Milk Creamer from Turtle Mountain, but I am here to entice you further with some additional tidbits of helpful information that I gathered about this new product line. The flashy details were shared in their news release:

• Lower in fat (0g per serving; quite literally hard to beat), calories, and sugars than the competitors
• Free from soy, gluten, dairy, and high fructose corn syrup
• A clean, slightly sweet taste with a creamy mouth feel
• Available in three flavors: Original, French Vanilla, and Hazelnut

That is all well and good, but what about the nitty gritty? When will it be available, where can you buy it, what does it look like, and now that we know what isn't in it, perhaps it would be nice to know what is in this mysterious new creamer ...

The good news is, Turtle Mountain is rolling out their coconut milk creamers as fast as possible, and not a moment too soon if you ask me. For years I have been fielding questions from avid coffee drinkers who are longing for that perfect truly dairy-free creamer. At last, by the end of September I will have a dairy-free and soy-free option to offer. Yes, they are expecting their latest coconut milk creation to hit store shelves throughout September 2009. So keep your eyes on the refrigerated section, near the other chilled creamers and refrigerated milk alternatives.

More good news for some, but not for others, is that the initial product line roll out will be to Whole Foods Market. If you live near a Whole Foods, you are in luck! If not, you may have to wait just a bit longer, but I am guessing that the folks at Turtle Mountain will do their darnedest to distribute the creamer out to smaller stores and eventually conventional grocers ... it may just take a wee bit longer.
