Children's Hospital Boston Releases "A cure for milk allergies?" Video Series PDF Print E-mail

Children's Hospital BostonThe health and science blog for Children's Hospital Boston has released a multi-part video series related to the topic, "A cure for milk allergies?" The first four videos in the series take you through the life of a mother, Robyn Nasuti, and her 11-year-old child, Brett, who was born allergic to 15 foods. Brett is the very first Children’s patient to go through a milk exposure desensitization trial (the first of its kind in the country), which could potentially cure him of his severe milk allergy.

The fifth video in the series veers away from the Nasuti's and the desensitization program to hear from celebrity chef Ming Tsai. Tsai is the chef-owner of famed Blue Ginger restaurant in Wellesley, Massachusetts, and a spokesperson for the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN) ...

As the father of a son with multiple severe food allergies, Tsai is passionate about increasing awareness and improving restaurant systems so people with food allergies can eat out safely. He discusses his food allergy-safe methods in the kitchen.

Below are the links to each of the five videos to date in the "A cure for milk allergies" series (3 more are planned for release in this series):

Part 1: Meet Brett, an 11 year old who is going through an experimental trial that could cure his severe allergy to milk

Part 2: Dr. Schneider explains the bold, new idea

Part 3: Brett Nasuti takes his very first sip of milk

Part 4: Food shopping with the Nasutis

Part 5: Celebrity chef Ming Tsai discusses his passion for food-allergy awareness
