What a wonderful surprise it was when a beautiful (and rather large!) "milk," white and dark chocolate santa showed up on my doorstep. Luckily we got to the package before the bears did, as I would have hated to have missed out on a single bite of Premium Chocolatiers' chocolate. This marvelous little company hand crafts chocolates and truffles that are milk-free, nut-free, gluten-free, egg-free, vegan, and most importantly, amazing! I also love their pricing, which is surprisingly inexpensive and stocking-stuffer worthy for such high end, special diet appropriate foods.
Back to jolly old St. Nick ... The santa was oversized, hollow (but thick), and incredibly delicious. I loved the flavor blend of white, "milk," and dark chocolates all rolled up into one bite. I admit, I had a bit of a hang-up about decapitating santa, so I started with the hat ... but once I tasted the very sweet and smooth chocolate, the pangs of guilt subsided and it was good-bye santa!
I definitely recommend Premium Chocolatiers for kids and those of us with a sweet tooth. Dark purists may find some of their chocolate a bit sweet, but anyone who noshes on 60% dark, semi-sweet, "milk," or white will find plenty of joy in their chocolate line-up and in the their wonderful truffles (oh yes, dairy-free caramel and ganache fillings too!). Though I was fortunate enough to receive this Santa, Premium Chocolatiers has many other holiday chocolates to offer that I have yet to sample. Including all of the following (and more!) ... The Christmas Ornament Collection
Giant Christmas Tree Lollipops
Jolly Snowman
Christmas Figures in Santa Bag Prices on the holiday chocolate line-up from Premium Chocolatiers range from $3.00 to $20.00, and their entire line of truffles are also available year round. Visit the Premium Chocolatiers website to order online; they ship throughout the U.S. This is a third party review by Alisa Fleming, founder of GoDairyFree.org and author of Go Dairy Free: The Guide & Cookbook.
