Peeled Snacks Partners with American Farmland Trust to Preserve American Farmland PDF Print E-mail

February 2010 – Peeled Snacks to donate 10% of sales from “American Farms Sampler” - Peeled Snacks announced a partnership today with national nonprofit American Farmland Trust to aid in its mission to help farmers and ranchers protect their land, produce a healthier environment and build successful communities.
Noha Waibsnaider, Peeled Snacks CEO and founder, remarked “What American Farmland Trust is doing is extremely powerful. The American Farmland Trust’s ‘No Farms, No Food’ message strongly resonates with our philosophy at Peeled Snacks. As a company, we firmly believe in the importance of eating food that is as natural as possible, and growing it as close to home as possible.”

America's farms and ranches provide an unparalleled abundance of fresh, healthy and local food. Unfortunately, ninety-one percent of America’s fruits and seventy-eight percent of our vegetables are grown near metro regions, where they are in the path of development. Every hour, the U.S. loses 125 acres of farm and ranchland. Peeled Snacks is proud to announce this partnership in an effort to help stop this troubling trend.

Peeled Snacks has created a special edition snack pack, the “American Farms Sampler,” which includes the company’s delicious and popular dried apples and cherries, both grown on farms in North America. Peeled Snacks will donate 10% of the sales of this sampler to the American Farmland Trust.

The “American Farms Sampler” is available for purchase on the Peeled Snacks website, www.peeledsnacks.com.

Peeled Snacks are available nationwide in Starbucks, Hudson News, select Whole Foods Markets, and on Amazon.com.
