Go Dairy Free Announces Top Book and Cookbook Picks for Dairy-Free Living PDF Print E-mail

Go Dairy Free Fudge Brownie CookiesOur review group has quite literally tested hundreds of books and cookbooks in the name of dairy-free living. We do our best to give you very unbiased reviews, offering up the pros and cons of each. We read every book thoroughly; yes, even the cookbooks - from forewards to recipe notes. But for cookbooks, we also test out at least a handful of recipes to give you our verdict on if the recipe works as written and if the outcome is delicious. And while there truly are merits to most books, there are some that we end up reaching for again and again, even after the review is complete. Our favorites range from strictly dairy-free, vegan, or food allergy-friendly cookbooks to "old-time" recipe troves that are simply easy to convert and foolproof.

We have compiled our true favorites along with a list of those we look to for back-up, in one handy Top Recommended Books for Dairy-Free Living page. This page will be updated as new favorites emerge and perhaps as once loved books are bumped from the listing, so bookmark it and enjoy perusing our top selections ...

To note, our top book reviewers included:

Alisa Fleming, founder of GoDairyFree.org ~ Alisa was born with a milk allergy that she did not outgrow, so she and her husband (he voluntarily) follow a strict dairy-free diet. She has a love for whole foods cooking, using unprocessed ingredients and inexpensive, everyday, healthy foods.

Sarah of No Whey, Mama ~ Sarah is mother to a severely milk allergic child, and she is no stranger to special diets thanks to some gluten-free in-laws. In addition to family-friendly cookbooks, she tests out children's books.

Sarena of Non-Dairy Queen ~ Sarena is quite intolerant of milk, and she also has a newly diagnosed Celiac family member to accomodate. She is fascinated with topics on health, and thoroughly reads health and diet books in addition to cookbooks for our site.

Nicole of Another One Bites the Crust ~ Nicole is our resident recipe-testing vegan. She is honest, but fair, and has loads of baking and cooking experience under her belt.
