"The Allergic Kid" Wins FAAN and Divvies Cookie Contest with ... PDF Print E-mail

Libby's Winning Recipe - Double Chocolate Brownie BitesFAAN-tastic Divvies Cookie ContestI have enjoyed Libby's (aka Elizabeth Ilson) blog, The Allergic Kid, for well over a year now. So it was delightful to see that she beat out 260+ entries to win the big FAANtastic Divvies Cookie Contest, sponsored by the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN) and Divvies, an allergy-friendly sweets and snacks company.

Divvies will now add Libby's Double Chocolate Brownie Bites to their product line, with proceeds to benefit FAAN and their research. For her success, Libby (and family) will receive two nights' stay and waterpark passes for up to four individuals at a Great Wolf Lodge Resort and up to four round-trip airline tickets to travel to her chosen Great Wolf Lodge location if it is greater than 150 miles from her home.

I also want to give a hats off to the other great food allergy bloggers who were finalists in the FAANtastic Divvies Cookie Contest: Meg of Speedbump Kitchen with her awesome Chocolate Cherry Chunk Cookies.  It turns out that another finalist is also an allergy mama food blogger.  Kelly of Generation Allergy made some fine looking Chocoholic Cookies.

And for those of you who didn't win, or didn't even enter, the contest this year, rumor has it there will be a 2011 contest. Expect to hear more about round two of the FAANtastic Divvies Cookie in the 4th quarter of 2010.
