Wynn Increases Vegan and Dairy-Free Food Options on Las Vegas Strip PDF Print E-mail

Wynn and Encore Las VegasLike many cities, Las Vegas holds an abundance of specialty food options ... from raw food eateries to downright authentic Chinese. But, I must admit, finding good dairy-free (let alone vegan) meal options on the Las Vegas strip specifically, can be a challenge. Sure, there are a few P.F. Chang's and some other known chains, but I've found it tricky to navigate many of the fine dining menus ... until now.

Steve Wynn has mandated that every dining option at his Vegas properties, to include Wynn Las Vegas and Encore Las Vegas, have several vegan dining options. This new policy applies to all dining facilities at these two resorts, from the five-star formal dining to the all-you-can-eat buffets and 24-hour cafes. Yes, this includes over twenty restaurants and quick food eateries.

The new offerings will be strict vegan items, allowing those who forgo meat, seafood, eggs, and/or dairy to order directly off the menu without having to make special requests. A few samples that have been published thus far are grilled royal trumpet mushrooms with polenta, tofu napoleons and fava bean puree. Interesting ... but knowing Steve Wynn's reputation for quality, they will probably taste much better than they sound.

For those who are dairy-free, but not necessarily vegan, this not only means several on-the-menu, dairy-free options, but also kitchens that may be better equiped to make other dishes dairy-free upon request.

But beyond these specific restaurants, we hope that Steve Wynn's cutting edge reputation means good things to come for special diet offerings at many other resorts and dining establishments.
