The Jazzy Vegetarian Breaks Through to a National Television Audience with a New Vegan Cooking Show PDF Print E-mail

The Jazzy Vegetarian - Vegan Cooking ShowJune 2011 - Laura Theodore, better known to her fans as The Jazzy Vegetarian, announced this month that a nationwide audience will soon see her easy and delicious vegetarian cooking on public television. Beginning October 1, 2011 thirteen, 30-minute episodes of The Jazzy Vegetarian will be available to public television stations throughout the United States.

Jazzy Vegetarian fans will now be able to watch Laura Theodore on television as well as online, listen to her radio shows online, download her recipes and tap into her culinary wisdom from their computers and in her companion cookbook, timed to release as the broadcast premiers. It’s Laura’s goal to put healthy, vegetarian recipes within the reach of every cook in America.

This move exponentially expands the audience that is already building from the more than 40,000 listeners to Laura’s Blogtalk radio programs and viewers of her five-minute cooking segments broadcast on MiND TV in Greater Philadelphia since April of 2010 and online at www.mindtv.org.

“I am so excited to have this groundbreaking opportunity to share my delicious, vegetarian versions of classic, traditional American Cuisine with public television viewers nationwide!” says Laura.

The Jazzy Vegetarian is a stand-out in the world of cooking shows with its complete focus on easy-to-prepare, satisfying, vegan foods. Laura’s step-by-step instructions show viewers an easy way to cook and delight the taste buds while making healthy, earth-friendly choices. She uses no dairy, meat, eggs or animal products, and consequently, all of her recipes are completely cholesterol free.

“I have developed countless quick recipes that are easy for anyone to prepare,” says Laura, “targeting folks like myself who do not have much time to cook, but want to fit healthier choices into their everyday meal planning. Many of these dishes are so tempting you'll even win over the ‘meat and potatoes’ crowd!”

The Jazzy Vegetarian works to appeal to a broad range of palates. From her Festive Zucchini Lasagna to her Crispy Portabella Steaks, Laura claims that her flavorful entrées will satisfy even die-hard meat eaters, and that no one can resist her “Dazzling Chocolate Desserts.” Each themed program will serve up a menu of treats. For example, Laura’s Bountiful Brunch Buffet sets the table for Herbed Sage Mini-Biscuits, Tasty No-Egg Scramble, Crispy Cashew French Toast, Tomato-Basil Pinwheels, and Fancy Fruit Salad.

The Jazzy Vegetarian is produced by Virtual Media Productions/PCA Creative LLC , in association with Oregon Public Broadcasting (OPB) distributed to public television stations through the National Educational Telecommunications Association (NETA).

Look for The Jazzy Vegetarian on your local public television station beginning in October of 2011. For more information on The Jazzy Vegetarian, visit www.jazzyvegetarian.com.
