Power of Fruit Sugar-Free Natural Fruit BarsAlisa Fleming ~ Call it a snack, call it dessert, or even call it breakfast! Whenever you’re craving something refreshing, I can recommend the Power of Fruit.

The Power of Fruit comes in squeezy plastic tubes much like Otter Pops, but without the added sugars and neon color additives. I sampled all five varieties: Original All-Fruit, Tropical, Banana Berry, Orange Tango, and Cherry Berry. My favorite was the Tropical, which contained just Pineapple, Mango, Banana, White Grape Juice Concentrate, and Water. As you might expect with an ingredient list like this, the Power of Fruit bars aren’t as candy-like as those blue raspberry Popsicles (I’m still trying to find where that elusive blue raspberry grows), but what they lack in sweeteners, they make up for in pure fruit flavor.

Each Power of Fruit bar contains 1/2 serving of fruit and just 25 calories or so. To get that full serving of fruit, I usually enjoyed two as a serving, completely guilt free. I found them to be insanely refreshing after our long afternoon walks, and a great light way to refuel lost electrolytes.

Since the ingredients really are so simple, the Power of Fruit bars are naturally dairy-free, gluten-free, vegan, and made without any of the top eight allergens (but of course, contact the company to check on their processes where severe allergies are a concern).

For more information, and to find the Power of Fruit bars in your area, see their website at www.poweroffruit.com.
