Attune Recipe Contest Offers Prizes of $200 in Free Groceries PDF Print E-mail

Cooking Challenges Recipe ContestOctober 2011 - Rather than a recipe, I have some sweet news to announce this Sunday (don't worry, I have a sweet recipe for you tomorrow!) ... Attune Foods (the company behind whole-grain Uncle Sam cereals, Erewhon organic and gluten-free cereals, and New Morning Organic Grahams) has announced a Recipe Contest, and I want the dairy-free and vegan communities to be well represented. There are some big prizes being doled out that three of you could win!

Below is the press release from Attune outlining the contest (which starts now!), rules, and big prizes ...

Show your cooking creativity with our three months of Cooking Challenges Contest. We have a hunch your oven will be working overtime getting ready for those holiday celebrations, family get-togethers and intimate soirees. Take the cereal beyond the bowl and show us what you’ve got for some sweet prizes!

Each month, we will select one winner of that month’s cooking challenge. The winner will have their recipe printed on the product packaging used in their winning recipe, and  win a $200 gift card to the grocery store of their choice, along with $200 donated on their behalf to Share Our Strength, a non-profit working towards ending childhood hunger in America.

Our esteemed judges include Silvana Nardone, editor-in-chief of “Easy Eats” magazine, attune foods brand ambassadors Heather Pare and Anne P. as well as attune foods representative Annelies Zijderveld.

If you have a blog, share your recipe with your readers, letting them know you’ve entered the attune foods Cooking Challenge there as well as including it in the entry form with a link back to your original post. Make sure to include a statement at the bottom of your blog post, “My opinions are my own and this post is in conjunction with my entry into the attune foods Cooking Challenges Contest.”

With 1/3 of all meals consumed on-the-go, let’s get cooking and reverse that trend. Here’s to time spent around the table with the people that matter most to you.

Ready, set, cook!

October Recipe Challenge: Treats – make an original treats recipe using one of the following: Erewhon Rice Twice (Gluten Free), Erewhon Cocoa Crispy Brown Rice (Gluten Free), Erewhon Crispy Brown Rice- Gluten Free, New Morning Organic Honey Grahams or New Morning Organic Cinnamon Grahams

November Recipe Challenge: Savory – make an original savory recipe using one of the following: Erewhon Corn Flakes (Gluten Free), Crispy Brown Rice- Gluten Free or Uncle Sam Original.
