I received some sad news at Attune Foods last month. Their chocolate probiotic granola is being discontinued. Since it has a loyal following, they requested that I come up with a chocolate granola recipe to help ease the blow. After some hesitation (roughly a millisecond) I agreed, and dutifully headed to the kitchen.
The first batch turned out remarkably good. But, it was chocolate granola, so really, I could test out a few variations right? Four scrumptious batches later, I settled on my favorite version. It combines two different sweeteners, cocoa powder, oats, crispy cereal, and delicious bites of dark chocolate for a breakfast treat that is worth snacking on all day long. The winning Chocolate Granola recipe was taste-tested and given about 20 thumbs up from my husband, our neighbor, our neighbor's entire office, and even an Attune chocolate granola customer who got a sneak preview. To suit a variety of diets, the recipe is a basic nut- and seed-free granola (suitable for school allergy policies), that is also vegan and easy to adapt to gluten-free if desired. So what are you wating for?! Go check out the recipe on Attune's website: Double Chocolate Dairy-Free Granola
