Easy No-Bake Brownies for Independence Day Snacking PDF Print E-mail

Enjoy Life Foods - Here's a yummy-in-your-tummy [last minute!] treat for your 4th of July celebration. It's allergy-friendly (no wheat, dairy, peanuts, tree nuts, egg, or soy), gluten-free and super easy to make. Everyone is bound to enjoy! In fact, we think it's a great treat for any occasion ...

No-Bake Brownies
(NO: wheat/gluten, dairy, peanuts, tree nuts, egg or soy)
  
Ingredients:

1 1/3 cups cocoa powder
2 cups sunflower seeds (chopped)
1/2 cup Sunbutter® **
2/3 brown rice Syrup
1 tsp vanilla
1- 10 oz bag Enjoy Life® semi-sweet chocolate chips
4 Tbsp canola oil

Directions:

1) Combine cocoa powder, Sunbutter and brown rice syrup in a large bowl.
2) Stir in chopped sunflower seeds. Mix well and set aside.
3) Combine chocolate chips and canola oil in a microwave safe bowl. Heat 30 seconds, stir. Continue until all the chocolate is melted and smooth.
4) Add vanilla to melted chocolate and stir.
5) Add melted chocolate to remaining ingredients. Mix until dough pulls away from the bowl and forms a ball.
6) Pour mixture into 8-9" round pan, smooth out and chill for 15-20 minutes. Then share with friends and family, and enjoy! 
 
note: Store in refrigerator.

** If not allergic to peanuts and / or tree nuts, feel free to sub in your favorite nut butter.
