Arby’s PDF Print E-mail

Arby'sArby's has quite a few non-dairy sauces to choose from, but keep in mind that not all of them will be available at every location.

No Dairy (Milk) Ingredients (use caution due to cross-contamination potential)

  • Roast Beef Sandwiches - All-American Roastburger®
  • Market Fresh® Sandwiches - Pecan Chicken Salad Sandwich - Roast and Ultimate BLT Sandwich
  • Sides - Applesauce and Pepper Bacon
  • Sauces - Tangy Barbeque, Honey Dijon Mustard, Marinara, Bronco Berry, Arby's, Horsey, Smokey Q, Grillaise®, Spicy Three Pepper®, Tartar, Thousand Island, and Tangy Southwest
  • Salad Dressings - Dijon Honey Mustard and Balsamic Vinaigrette
  • Breakfast - Bacon
  • Dessert - Apple and Cherry Turnovers

No Dairy Ingredients, but Fried in Common Oil with Dairy-Containing Menu Items:

  • Chicken - Popcorn Chicken and Crispy Chicken Tenders
  • Fish - Fish Fillet
  • Sides - Curly Fries, Homestyle Fries, and Potato Cakes
  • Breakfast - French Toastix, Breakfast Chicken Fillet

Special Order Options (use caution due to cross-contamination potential)

Several of the Arby's sandwiches contain milk simply because they have cheese or they are served on an onion or sesame bun (which both contain milk). To accomodate, we have listed the breads and meats that are non-dairy below, so that you can special order a sandwich if needed:

  • Bread - Choose between the Honey Wheat, Ciabatta, Marble Rye, Sourdough Breakfast, Flatbread, Tortilla, or Double Cut Bun (the onion and sesame buns contain milk)
  • Meat - Roast Beef, Roast Chicken, Roast Ham, Roast Turkey (the Genoa Salami and Pepperoni contain lactic acid starter culture, which can be derived from dairy. However, neither is noted as containing milk on the allergen/ingredient sheet)
  • Salads - Each of the salads can be made milk-ingredient-free. For the Chopped Farmhouse Chicken Salad simply hold the cheese and keep in mind that the popcorn chicken is cooked in a shared fryer. For the Chopped Italian Salad, hold the cheese and see the note above in "meats" regarding the salami and pepperoni. For the Chopped Turkey Club Salad, hold the cheese and substitute one of the non-dairy dressings (above).

Thanks for the catch, this one does contain milk. I was notified by Arby's that it did not (strangely enough), but the new allergen information on their site, shows that it does. See the link above. Keep in mind, these fast food guys are always changing their allergen statements and ingredients, so be sure to always double check if you have a severe allergy.

chicken strips
Last time we went to Arby's I was informed that they changed the batter for the chicken strips and it now contains dairy.

According to the website, I thought I was okay getting the new Buffalo Chicken Shakers. It says that the Buffalo sauce is dairy free. According to the ingredients on the label, it has dairy/cheese listed under natural flavorings. I don't notice until I was finished, of course...Grrr.

Where did you get that info on the roast beef? I just checked the Arby's site and the Roast Beef does not have any milk ingredients that I can see. Just a solution water, salt, and sodium phosphate in addition to the meat itself.

Nope, according to the Arby's site, which lists ingredients, the roast beef itself does not have dairy in it, but note the substitutions above as most of the roast beef sandwiches have a bun or sauce that has dairy in it.
