Am I reading this right?
I ordered a Whopper and fried from B.K. recently.
I just ordered it straight off of the menu.
Now we are having what I believe to be a dairy reaction.

Did I order something wrong?
Do I have to special order this?

thanks for any help!

Hi Kris,

I double checked their allergen list on the website, and the Whopper still looks "ok." However, it is possible that they were handling cheese when making your burger or something? Cross-contamination of allergens is a huge problem in fast food restaurants. There is an allergen listing on their website - http://www.bk.com/#menu=3,2,-1 - I would always check with the company prior to consumption. I hope this helps!

my son has to start a dairy free diet. In the pamphlet from the hospital, bread is listed as something to avoid. On a milk-free alternatives sheet I was given, Betty bread, Dempster and Italiano are listed as OK. Are the buns on the burgers listed either of these?

I believe the buns are okay with Burger King as noted by the listings above, but if you are following a strict dairy-free diet, it is best to avoid these major chains as cross contamination is a major problem.

For a list of brands that you might want to look into for dairy-free options see here - http://www.godairyfree.org/Food-to-Eat/Shopping-List/Bread.html

Avoid the mayo:

If you're getting what seems to be a dairy reaction to whoppers or other burgers here, I've found personally that if you just eliminate the mayonnaise your stomach will take it better.

Am I reading this right?
This is probably silly, but is the reason the Croissan’wiches (and other sandwiches) have dairy because of the cheese? Couldn't they just be ordered w/o cheese?

I would assume that the croissants themselves are made with butter, which is dairy/milk. I can't verify since they don't list the ingredients of the croissants, but most do contain butter.

Am I reading this right?
I agree, something is not right....my son and I who both have dairy allergies, his worse then mine, both had whoppers today...no mayo, no cheese, only veggies and ketchup...my stomach is hurting tonight as well as his really hurting. We also had fries. I'm really wondering about the bread. Cross contamination doesn't usually affect either of us.

Am I reading this right?
It's the buns. They have somehow changed them. My daughter has a severe allergy and was able to eat there for the last few years until about 6 months ago. Now we order a whopper without the bun and take our own bun and she does fine.
