Hardee's Hardee's regular hamburger bun contains milk ingredients, and they use a "Whirl" when cooking many of the burgers - thus rendering many of the burger and sandwich items unsuitable for dairy-free diners. The ones noted in these listings did not indicate the "Whirl" as an ingredient, but double check before ordering, and keep in mind that these menu items may still be cooked on a shared grill with items that do use the "Whirl."

Also, they may use shared fryer with milk ingredients for the fried items. If this is a concern for you, verify at the location, as this was not indicated on the Hardee's website.

No Dairy (Milk) Ingredients (use caution due to cross-contamination potential):

  • Chicken - Charbroiled BBQ Chicken Sandwich (see Whirl note above), Fried Chicken, and Chicken Strips
  • Sides - Crispy Curls, French Fries, Natural Cut. amd Chili
  • Salads - Cole Slaw
  • Salad Dressings - Low Fat Italian
  • Sauces - Au Jus. Salsa, BBQ, Horseradish, Honey Mustard, Sweet ‘N’ Sour, Mushroom, Texas Pete Hot, and Tartar
  • Breakfast - Sausage Patty, Country Ham, Bacon, Quick Grits, Country Potatoes, Eggs, and Folded Eggs

Special Order (use caution due to cross-contamination potential):

  • Burgers - 1/3 lb and 2/3 lb Low Carb Thickburger (hold the cheese, see Whirl note above)
  • Chicken - Charbroiled Chicken Club Sandwich (hold the cheese, see Whirl note above)
  • Fish - Fish Supreme Sandwich (hold the cheese, see Whirl note above)

You should update this. Hardees doesn't use "Whirl" to grill thier burgers, the cook them on a charbroiler. The "Whirl" is used to butter the buns before they are tosted.

Interesting, that isn't what the Hardee's rep had told us in a prior email. Can they hold the Whirl at this point, or is it automatically used on all of the buns?
