Wendy's website indicates that French Fries may be cooked in the same oil as other products containing milk-- if you have a severe allergy/intolerance you should avoid their fries.

On the Wendy's website...how are you finding the ingredients in their products? For instance, how did you know what type of oil they use to cook their fries? Thanks!

Click on the Nutrition Facts link above. It will take you to the Wendy's Menu. When you select a section, there will be a little tiny nutrition facts button. That will take you to the ingredients. They really make it easy to find :roll . I am not sure where susan got the info about cooking in the same oil. If you don't see it on the site, you may want to shoot them off a quick email.

I am not sure how to read these lists....is the items on these lists considered safe for dairy free?

You should never consider any product "safe" for dairy-free in a fast food restaurant. There will always be high risk for cross-contamination.

That being said, this is a list of (as of our last update that we reviewed from the company or their website) a list of the items made without dairy ingredients. You can click through the nutrition facts link to get more information from the company's website.

It looks like, in Canada, the Crispy Chicken Nuggets don't have dairy in them

I am at the beginning stages dealing with my diagnosis of lactose intolerant. I ordered a jr hamburger, and fries. I got sick. I believe there was most likely cross contamination OR the rolls have butter/dairy in them. My allergy may be stronger than I realize.

They have "lactylates" which are rarely a dairy concern, and Wendy's does not note "contains milk" (only wheat) on their allergen statement. For severe allery concerns, I would contact them directly.
