International - Multiple Locations - Chili's PDF Print E-mail

Chili'sThanks to Kristi for pointing out the allergen-friendly characteristics of the major chain, Chili's:

"Just wanted to suggest Chili's as a preferred resturant. We went with our son who has many allergies. They were able to print out their ingredients list for each of their menu items so we could review the hidden dairy sources before we ordered!"

Some research led us to the allergen menu on the Chili's website, which can make pre-planning a meal even easier!  They have a food allergen pdf guide with suggested menu items for the top eight allergens (milk/dairy, eggs, tree nuts, peanuts, soy, wheat, shellfish, fish).  More nutritional information can also be found on www.chilis.com.  Very cool!

We were dismayed to discover that their hamburger buns contain dairy, and that there are few options for vegan clientelle, but pleased with the effort they have made in full disclosure regardless.  There are certainly a few menu items for most individuals.

I would no longer recommend Chili's. We have always recommnended it because they were so allergy friendly. During our past visit, although the children's menu has increased, the amount of options for our daughter has decreased. Out of 12 items, only 2 were dairy free. The ribs (over $6) or a hamburger. In the past, she had ordered the grillled chicken or the pasta. Both are no longer available. It also scares me about the hamburgers since on teh adult menu it says to order hamburgers without the bun.
