I have yet to meet a person who didn't fall for the charms of Soule Domain.  This atmospheric restaurant tucked away in a log cabin alongside the brash 1960's style casinos in Crystal Bay is a must visit for anyone who ventures to North Lake Tahoe.  Soule Domain offers that warm cozy feeling, complete with fireplace, that you expect to find when visiting a mountain town.  Oh yes, and the food is excellent too.

The chef prepares a nightly soup from scratch (that comes with every meal), which is almost always creamy and vegan.  The menu is mostly omnivorous, but the vegan saute is very worthwhile.  The menu does have quite a few butter, cream, and cheese spiked dishes, but since the chef is familiar with vegan preparations, special requests would not be out of the question.  The naturally dairy-free menu items they do have, are incredible!
