Near Petco Park, this Gelateria reportedly makes 38 flavors fresh daily, with ingredients that are imported from Italy. This is not a dairy-free establishment, but it seems they do have some flavors which are non-dairy, nonfat or sugar-free.  I did spot both Sorbetto and "Mondo Soy" on their website, so I think the rumor may be true.
