U.S. - Multiple Locations - Pei Wei PDF Print E-mail

Though I prefer to stay away from chain restaurants, Pei Wei has become a weekly staple for me.  They have an affordable menu (huge portions for just 6.50) with various Asian inspirations.  Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese, Chinese, and Korean menu options make this place a paradise for dairy-free consumers.  Aside from the tofu (which I found sort of strange and rubbery) we have loved every single menu item trialed thus far.  Good quality food.

Menu - Available at www.PeiWei.com; They also have a gluten-free menu.  If you are highly allergic to milk, call to double check, but the only dairy item I spotted on the menu was crab wontons.  The rest seemed to be fair game.

Locations - Check the website for a map, as they seem to be growing quickly.  When I last looked they had locations in CA, NV, WY, AZ, NM, TX, UT, OK, KS, MO, AR, TN, NC, VA, and FL.

Just an FYI, my son who is allergic to dairy has to avoid all dishes with sauce at Pei Wei because some of the dishes they make use a milk protein and when they stir fry it remains in the wok. Even though the terriyaki sauce which he loves does not contain the milk protein there is cross contamination. Check with a manager to verify. But my son throws up if he has anything other than the plain nuggetts and rice.
