Major Grocery Chain Says 'No' to Hormones in Milk

Kroger Co. announced a major policy change to sell only hormone-free milk in its stores.  While the move was based upon consumer demand, rather than health concerns, the shift is still viewed as a step forward for the consumer and a major blow to the rBST monopoly otherwise known as Monsanto.

Probiotic Treatment May Limit Eczema in Infants

Foods Matter - Oral supplementation with the probiotic Lactobacillus reuteri to the mother during pregnancy and to the infant after birth may help reduce the development of eczema and allergy associated with immunoglobulin E, a key protein involved in the allergic response, according to Dr.Thomas R.Abrahamsson and colleagues of Linkoping University Hospital in Sweden.
