New Online Directory for Gluten-Free Dining
Thursday, 25 October 2007

Gluten-Free on the Go is the first truly global online directory of restaurants, hotels and other hospitality resources that cater to people with gluten-free needs and other special dietary requirements. Each listing also notes if the restaurant or hotel caters to other special diets such as vegan, vegetarian, kosher, or dairy-free.  At the moment, their dairy-free listings and other special diet notations are sparse, but the overall database is huge so we have high hopes that they will delve more into GFCF needs. Gluten-Free on the Go currently has listings for the US, Canada, France, Italy, Spain, Mallorca and the UK.  They seem to be conquering one country at a time, so more locations are likely on the way.

Children need to be shown the fruits and vegetables what they are eating so that they can develop their own informed decisions and develop their own little palates. Take, for example, these Spiced Pumpkin Waffles...

Organic Peanut ButterSure, an all-organic diet sounds like a great idea, but the last time I checked I wasn’t pulling in a Becks & Posh wage.  Attempting to transition into this less than pocket-book friendly way of eating, I have used the “dirty dozen” guide and a growing list of GMO’s to help prioritize my family’s organic needs. But now, Dr. Alan Greene has taken a more strategic approach to identify the best foods to “go organic.” While the pesticide guide is helpful, his list of eleven foods goes beyond produce and standard measurements …
