~~ 5 Star Selection from Go Dairy Free ~~

This product was chosen by our staff as a top pick for quality and taste.

Dairy-Free, Egg-Free, and Nut-free are the allergen (free) claims boasted by this tasty treat manufacturer.  Fortunately, not an ounce of great cookie has gone missing along with these ingredients.  Once prepared, the texture of the cookies is very light and fluffy, with just a slight doughy feel as you bite into the center.  I must admit it is nice to enjoy this “traditional” type of cookie as a change of pace from heartier whole-wheat based goodies.   The taste can only be described as yummy!  A delicately sweet cookie absolutely loaded with dairy free semi-sweet chocolate chips.  My husband seconded this motion as he gobbled up the first batch in no time.  Luckily, preparation was a snap.  In fact, we highly recommend this mix for Sunday baking with kids.  There is just enough for them to do (add margarine, add oil, shape, and bake) without too many complicated steps and a big kitchen mess.  With luck, the cookies will even make it to the oven.  The cookie dough is quite tasty, and since it is free of eggs, moms need not worry.  As if the delicious cookies weren’t enough, Cherrybrook has created whimsical packaging for all of their mixes, which is sure to please most kids and can easily double as a gift.  Beyond the immediate product packaging, their shipping style is environmental, and yet perfectly presented.

  • Pros:  Great tasting cooking dough (vegan); Free of dairy, nuts, and eggs; Light texture; Tons of chocolate chips; Fun, gift quality packaging
  • Cons: Requires margarine for dairy free baking, non-hydrogenated margarines can be hard to find.  We used Earth Balance and yielded excellent results.

Recommended For:

  • Making (and Eating) with Kids
  • People with Dairy, Egg, or Nut Allergies
  • Cookie Dough Sampling
  • Gifts for Kids & Young at Heart Bakers

Where to Buy:

  • Online:  All varieties are available on Amazon
  • In Stores:  Distribution is expanding in natural food stores and mainstream grocers throughout the U.S.
