Ahhhhhhhhh... nothing says love like a nice slice of yummy white bread to round out a meal. Or have as a side dish. Which I did in my case. I wanted to try toasting the bread to see how it held up under fire. Toast under fire! So I brought it to work and toasted it in the super-duper industrial strength toaster we have at work. You know like the kind that says DANGER!!! HOT!!! all over it. I added some peanut butter and ate her up. First of all, this is white toast. Not even kidding, you will hardly notice this is gluten-free / dairy-free bread. The only giveaway is the small size of the slice of bread. It still did have that slightly chewy taste, but it is hardly noticeable when toasted. I only noticed it when I ate the other half of the two pieces of bread I brought without toasting it! Tonight I think I will try to see how it holds up in regular sandwich form. I bet it will be great!
So far this one gets a 9 out of 10. A 9 only because the small size of the slice! Ingredients: Water, gluten free flour (white Rice Flour, Tapioca Flour, Corn Starch), Canola oil, Egg, Honey, Soy Flour, Salt, Xanthan Gum, baking powder, Dry Yeast. (Certified Kosher OU)
Note: Katz runs a kosher (OU) parve bakery in a dedicated dairy-free, gluten-free, nut-free facility.
