This is a combination review of several Fabe products; the muffin review follows the cookies. I was quite shocked when I received the package from Fabe's All Natural Bakery. It was HUGE! Fabe's Bakery was so generous with the samples. I opened the box to discover nearly every flavor of mini-cookies, regular sized cookies, and two kinds of muffins. Most of the treats at Fabe's Bakery are vegan, refined sugar free, organic. How sweet (hehe pun-always-intended) is that? Not being able to control myself one second more, I tore into the first package my hand could grab- mini chocolate chip cookies. One bite and I was taken back to my childhood- these tasted exactly like the Entenmann's cookies I used to love. They were delightfully soft and chewy, and of course, the flavor was spot on! Slowly, making sure to savor every bite, I made myself through each kind of mini cookie. Fabe's Bakery offers chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, macaroons, peanut butter, coconut chip, and double chocolate chip. With the exception of oatmeal raisin, I absolutely adored each and every flavor. The oatmeal raisin had a lovely flavor, but I wasn't wild about the texture. The regular sized cookies taste pretty much the same as the mini cookies, just larger and thicker than their tiny cousins. I have to tell you, they are the perfect size and texture for making frozen ice cream sandwiches out of! Moving along to the muffins, I tried the banana oat bran and blueberry oat bran varieties. I LOVE a good oat bran muffin and these passed the test, for sure. I was very surprised by how much moisture these muffins retained, even after sitting out for a few days. They tasted just as fresh as if I had baked them myself, that morning! Impressive, Fabe's Bakery, impressive. The blueberries added a nice sweetness and flavor. I passed along a bunch of muffins to my friends and family as well and everyone was floored when they heard these weren't made fresh that morning. My Fabe's Bakery experience was great! I would highly recommend picking up some of the cookies and muffins. You can order the muffins online, or I believe, at Whole Foods. They have a store locator on their site. This is a third party review by the talented vegan blogger, Nicole of Another One Bites the Crust. For more information about these products, and to purchase, visit the Fabe's Natural Bakery Website.
