Ian's Gluten-Free French Toast Sticks (Vegan, Gluten-Free, Nut-Free, Soy-Free) PDF Print E-mail

This review is continued on from Amy's reivew of Ian's Gluten-Free frozen dinner entrees.

Ian's French Toast SticksAmy Coccia, What Do I Eat Now? ~  ... I also tried the French Toast sticks from Ian's. As a gluten and dairy free eater now, I have sacrificed things from my diet I would normally not want to go without. Like French Toast, possibly my most favorite breakfast food ever besides cinnamon rolls. Thick slices of bread, a little egg, milk, and brown sugar and cinnamon makes a girl smile on a Sunday morning, and I haven't had that in months. So I was hesitant to try these sticks, surely they would disappoint my French Toast taste buds.

I threw a few of the sticks a pan and cooked them in the oven. Word of caution- again- these are very small. Definitely a kids meal! But I eat them anyway. I ate the first one, drizzled in a little maple syrup. My taste buds were immediately taken back to my French Toast eating days. Warm and cinnamony, this sweet stick was a treat! It was rich enough to hold the butter, and just sweet enough where the maple syrup was a great addition, but could do without. For a great breakfast meal for your little ones with food allergies, this would be a great start. Add some eggs (if you can) on the side and a glass of juice and this is a perfect way to start the day.

Visit the Ian's website for information on where to purchase.  Their products are available throughout the US and Canada.
