GrandyOats Cinnamon Apple Crisp Granola (Organic, Vegan, Wheat-Free, Soy-Free) PDF Print E-mail

This delightfully crisp granola could easily rival many big name brands for quality and texture.  Chewy oats and crispy rice form the base of the granola clusters, while chopped hazelnuts and sunflower seeds add a touch of complexity to the mix.  The pleasant flavor is subtle, with traces of cinnamon and a mild sweetness from the pure maple syrup and dried apple bits.  By using a light hand with these sugar-based ingredients, GrandyOats was able to keep the Cinnamon Apple Crisp to a respectable 10 grams of sugar per ½ cup.  Plus, with only 8 grams of fat per ½ cup this granola need not be a diet buster.  Beyond the lower quantity of fats, we were impressed with their healthier unsaturated sources (nuts seeds, and sunflower oil).  The handmade care and premium organic ingredients are more than evident in GrandyOats’ Cinnamon Apple Crisp.

  • Pros:  Organic; Vegan; Lower than average sugar and fat; Crispy clusters; Wheat-free
  • Cons: Dried apples were baked with the granola, resulting in some pieces, which were burnt or chewy

Recommended For:

  • Snacking
  • Breakfast – to Replace those Lower Quality Clusters

 Where to Buy:

  • Online – Direct from GrandyOats
  • In Store - Natural Food Stores in the U.S.
