Laughing Giraffe Organic “Raw” Vanilla Almond Snackaroons (Vegan, Gluten-Free, Soy-Free) PDF Print E-mail

Growing up, I loved macaroons.  They were actually sold with the bulk cookies at our local grocer, and my mom would let me get one on nearly every trip.  Perhaps that is where my love for grocery shopping began?  But, in reality, as I grew older, I forgot about this wonderful treat. So I was delighted when these "Raw" Snackaroons from Laughing Giraffe Organics came onto my radar.  While not identical to the traditional super-sweet macaroon, these bear a remarkable resemblance, but in a heartier, healthier format of course.

I loved how they came in a large sheet of cookies that could be neatly removed from the package and pulled apart to reveal their ice cream scoop image.

As for taste, they were sticky, perfectly chewy, and sweet, but not sugary. Though loaded with coconut, the overall flavor was pleasant and not overwhelming, as it was combined with some wonderful almond goodness.  I would be amazed if any true macaroon fan didn’t swoon over these!

The ingredients of these Snackaroons are simple, pure, satisfying, and delicious (just organic almonds, coconut, agave, coconut oil, vanilla and sea salt) … there isn’t much more I could ask for in a snack or a treat!
