Liz Lovely Ginger Snapdragons (Vegan) PDF Print E-mail

By Alisa Fleming, Go Dairy Free ~ There is no other way to introduce this dessert then to say that it was one of the best cookies I have ever had in my entire life, homemade, store-bought, vegan, non-vegan, or otherwise!

Lets start with the packaging ... (see photo below alongside the Lovely Oh's)

Liz Lovely Ginger Snapdragons

Aside from the fact that it is quite attractive (gift-worthy really), the label states “2 Big Ones.”  They aren’t kidding.  Do you remember those wonderfully soft, jumbo-sized cookies available at the corner store?  You know, the ones that you begrudgingly said goodbye to when you began a diet free of dairy and/or eggs.  Well, Liz Lovely has recreated them, only … without dairy … without eggs … on steroids … and ten times better. Measuring 4.5 inches in diameter (yes, I measured them), you can see a life size image of these beauties here …

The next thing I noticed on the label was “Ginger & Molasses … Totally Spiced Out.”  They really aren’t kidding.  Blessed with ample amounts of deep mellow molasses and sugar (these are cookies after all), the Snapdragons kick it up a notch or ten with plenty of warm and spicy ginger. Seriously, on behalf of the ginger lovers of the world, I proclaim these cookies sheer ecstasy!  For those with timid taste buds, watch out for those chunks of crystallized ginger on top, they are not for the faint of heart.  For those who can’t get enough of this potent spice, the lingering sweet heat will leave you longing for more.

In terms of texture, we are talking pure perfection …incredibly soft, slightly chewy, melt-in-your-mouth goodness.  Nothing more needs to be said.

Okay, just a few final words: certified organic, certified fair trade, certified vegan, and positively addicting.

Thank you Liz Lovely.  Now please send a lifetime supply.

Where to Purchase: Liz Lovely cookies are available in some stores (check places like Whole Foods), but more easily, you can purchase all of their cookies direct at the Liz Lovely website.
