I must agree with the GoMacro website, the Almond Perfection MacroTreat is “irresistibly delicious”.  I loved this cookie and wished I had more to share.  It had a wonderful texture, somewhat similar to a Nutri-Grain bar, created from the coarsely ground almonds and whole-wheat flours.  This Treat has a strong maple syrup flavor, very tasty, but perhaps a touch more than I would require.  For a giant cookie it is relatively low in sugar (14g), but high in fat (15g), protein (7g), fiber (8g), and calcium (150mg).  The Almond Perfection MacroTreat may not cover my husband’s home-baked chocolate chip cookie cravings, but for me, it was a delightful big cookie / energy bar hybrid that satisfies nicely.

• Pros:  Vegan; Organic; Free from refined sugars or flours; Compliments the Macrobiotic Diet; Great texture; Good source of calcium
• Cons:  The maple syrup sweetness may be a touch strong for some, but a pro for others; On the high end of calories for a cookie or snack; high in fat
