HoneyBar – Granola: Organic or Natural (Organic, Egg-Free, Soy-Free, Wheat-Free) PDF Print E-mail

This granola bar / trail mix hybrid combines the lighter flavors and textures of oats and crisp brown rice with the bolder presence of peanuts, almonds, and raisins.  The result was a sweet chewy bar with a trail mix flavor.  Suitable for most diets, the Granola HoneyBar has only 6 grams of fat and 170 calories, the lowest among the organic selection.  We thoroughly enjoyed the honey and nut taste of this sweet granola bar, and would love to try it kicked up a notch with a few shakes of organic cinnamon.

  • Pros:  100% Certified organic; Relatively low fat / low calorie nut based bar; Great nuts and honey flavor; All-natural energy
  • Cons:  A bit of a jaw workout from this chewy mix; High in sugars

Recommended For:

  • Honey Enthusiasts
  • Energy Anytime
  • Trail Mix Fans

Natural vs Organic

This HoneyBar comes in both the Natural (all natural ingredients, no preservatives) and 100% Certified Organic.  Aside from the organic difference, the ingredients were identical between these two bars.  However, the Natural HoneyBar had a bigger presence of oats for a more granola bar like experience.  The Organic HoneyBar tasted much more “nutty”, hence the trail mix similarities.  Expect a slightly higher price tag for the high quality of organic ingredients.

Where to Buy:

  • Online – U.S. shoppers will find all HoneyBar varieties on Amazon, Canadian shoppers should head to the healthy shopper.
  • In Store - Natural Food Grocers in the U.S. and Canada
