HoneyBar - Organic Hemp & Flax (Organic, Egg-Free, Gluten-Free, Soy-Free) PDF Print E-mail

The Hemp & Flax HoneyBar is a nutritional standout.  This all seed mix retains the very sweet honey flavor, yet it contains less sugars (only 9 grams) than many of the other bars.  Relatively speaking, it has a good supply of both fiber (5 grams) and protein (8 grams).  Last but not least, the sunflower, hemp, flax, and pumpkin seeds are an excellent source for those oh-so-popular Omega 3 fatty acids.  Taste-wise, the predominant flavors are sunflower seeds and honey, although the other seeds are noticeable.  I liked the texture, not hard to chew, and not too many little seeds to get caught in my teeth.  This is definitely a great bar to reach for when plain old seeds just won’t do.

  • Pros:  100% Certified organic; High in protein and Omega 3’s; Sweet flavor; Gluten-free; Good source of iron
  • Cons:  Purely for seed fans; May be a touch high in sugars and fats for some diets

Recommended For:

  • Afternoon Snack
  • Seeders
  • Post-Workout Recovery

Where to Buy:

  • Online – U.S. shoppers will find all HoneyBar varieties on Amazon, Canadian shoppers should head to the healthy shopper.
  • In Store - Natural Food Grocers in the U.S. and Canada
