HoneyBar - Organic and Natural Cranberry Delite (Egg-Free, Gluten-Free, Soy-Free) PDF Print E-mail

What a perfect name for such a delightful snack!  This sweet, almost dessert-like bar perfectly blends the rich taste of peanuts, assorted dried fruits, and honey.  A few whole almonds and bits of cashews were generously thrown into the mix, in what seemed like an afterthought.  However, it was really the blend of raisins, papayas, cranberries and apricots that propelled this bar.  With only one bar to trial, I opted to split it with a co-worker for a second opinion.  Big mistake!  We both ended up wanting a whole bar for ourselves.  It was probably for the best as this bar is somewhat of an indulgence with 16g of sugar and 10g of fat.  We took heart in the fact that the fats came from a good source (nuts and safflower oil), the whole bar had a modest 180 calories, and it was virtually sodium and cholesterol free.

  • Pros:  Sweet nutritious treat; Popular flavor & texture; Suitable for low sodium/cholesterol diets; Quality ingredients; Gluten, egg, and soy free
  • Cons:  Due to the dried fruit, this bar contains sulfites and citric acid for preservation; A touch high in sugar and fat

Recommended For:

  • Afternoon Treat
  • Sweet Breakfast Pick-up
  • Kids
  • Dried Fruit Enthusiasts

Where to Buy:

  • Online – U.S. shoppers will find all HoneyBar varieties on Amazon, Canadian shoppers should head to the healthy shopper.
  • In Store - Natural Food Grocers in the U.S. and Canada
