Honeybar - Natural Apple & Cinnamon (Egg-Free, Soy-Free, Wheat-Free) PDF Print E-mail

Honeybar has gone above and beyond to create this perfect mix of honey, apples, and cinnamon.  I couldn’t spot them, but I could definitely taste the dozens of chewy dried apple bits packed into this bar.  The base consisted of rolled oats, crisp brown rice, and almonds bound together by a liberal amount of honey.  Aside from the abundance of apples, this bar is spiked with several raisins as well.  Although I didn’t feel the raisins were required, they didn’t take away from the flavor either.  This Honeybar is a very light snack, at only 150 calories and 2 g of fat, making it an excellent diet friendly option.  However, the high sugar load of 19g means that it may be best suited for the occasional afternoon treat.

  • Pros: Low in calories and fat; Wheat-free; All-natural “granola bar” alternative; Cholesterol-free; Very low sodium; Deliciously sweet apple cinnamon flavor
  • Cons: A bit of work too chew; High in sugar

Recommended for:

  • A Sweet Snack to Replace that Tired Old Granola Bar
  • Dried Apple Fans
  • Lunch Boxes
  • Afternoon Treat

Where to Buy:

  • Online – U.S. shoppers will find all HoneyBar varieties on Amazon, Canadian shoppers should head to the healthy shopper.
  • In Store - Natural Food Grocers in the U.S. and Canada
