Honeybar - Trail Mix: Organic or Natural (Organic*, Egg-Free, Gluten-Free, Soy-Free) PDF Print E-mail

The Trail Mix HoneyBar lives up to its name as a delicious, nutritious choice for a long day of hiking or biking.  Soft and sticky, this generous handful of premium trail mix is glued together with a dollop of high quality honey.  Conveniently packaged as a bar, the combination of peanuts, honey, raisins, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and almonds is sure to please most.  As to be expected, the Trail Mix HoneyBar is high in good fats, moderately high in sugars, and has a strong level of protein.  Although this may not be the bar for everyday snacking, it is perfect for moderately paced endurance activities.

  • Pros:  100% Certified organic; High in protein and “good” fats; Simple trail mix taste; Offers lasting energy; Gluten-free
  • Cons:  High in sugars; High fat may be a problem for some

Recommended For:

  • Moderately Paced Endurance Activities
  • Trail Mix Fans

Natural vs Organic

This HoneyBar comes in both the Natural (all natural ingredients, no preservatives) and 100% Certified Organic.  Expect a slightly higher price tag for an all organic product.  Otherwise, these two bars seemed to be indistinguishable in both ingredients and taste.  Although one of our tasters swore she could taste the higher quality of the organic bar.  You be the judge!

Where to Buy:

  • Online – U.S. shoppers will find all HoneyBar varieties on Amazon, Canadian shoppers should head to the healthy shopper.
  • In Store - Natural Food Grocers in the U.S. and Canada
