Organic So Delicious™ Dulce de Leche Non Dairy Frozen Dessert (Organic, Vegan, Gluten-Free) PDF Print E-mail

The summer heat has arrived, and so have my ice cream cravings.  I planned the day around my last grocery trip to ensure that I would be heading straight home from the store.  This way I could stock up on ice cream without fear of a total melt down.  I was disappointed when I couldn't find my favorite Purely Decadent flavor, Praline Pecan, but the Dulce de Leche sounded like a good contender.  Not to mention, as a dairy free connoisseur it is fun to try products with names like "sweet milk".  Luckily, this flavor really delivered.  The ice cream itself had a rich caramel flavor, and the soy notes were very minimal.  The texture was smooth, creamy, and consistent, with just a small ribbon of actual caramel running through it.  I am not sure quite yet if this one will be my new favorite, but it is in the running to top my homemade sundaes.  Oh, and did I mention this flavor has only 3g of fat per serving?

  • Pros:  Organic; Made with non-GMO soy; Vegan; Cholesterol-free; Gluten free; Low in fat; Very creamy
  • Cons:  Like most ice cream, a touch high in sugar; Some may detect the slight "beany" taste, but it is not overdone

Recommended For:

  • Vegans
  • Brownie Sundaes
  • Creamy, "Milky" Dessert Cravings

Where to Buy:

  • In Stores - Most grocers throughout the U.S. and Canada
