Santa Cruz Organic Peanut Butter (Vegan, Gluten-Free, Soy-Free) PDF Print E-mail

Peanut ButterThanks to the great peanut recall of 2009, I managed to snag 8 jars or Santa Cruz Organic Crunchy Peanut Butter for just $.99 each. Have no fear, their PB was not recalled, they are safe from the Peanut Corp. clutches. It was just the scare of PB in general that caused my local grocer to overflow with product and mark nut butter down to clearance prices.

That said, I was pleased indeed with my haul. This peanut butter is rich, slightly sweet, slightly salty, and full of so much peanut goodness, it was unbelievable. Though it may seem like peanut butter is peanut butter, I can vouch that some peanut butters, such as this one, do stand out from the rest.

Will I purchase more after my supplies run out? At the regular price of around $5 a jar, probably not. I can get all natural PB from Trader Joe's (though not as good) for less than $2. But, if I spot SCO's PB on sale - even if it isn's all the way down to $.99 a jar - I will probably have to treat myself.

Save the "regular" PB brands for cookies; slather this stuff on toast with a sprinkle of cinnamon. Heaven.
