Star Allergy Alerts PDF Print E-mail

By Barb Nicoletti ~ Star Allergy Alerts was founded by one mom’s quest to raise awareness of the rising issue of food allergies.  Donna Rendell is a mother of a child with multiple food allergies.  Her longtime goal of creating products to help promote awareness finally came true when she launched Star Allergy Alerts located in Australia.  The Star Allergy Alerts product line includes whimsically designed buttons, stickers, bracelets, wristbands, t-shirts and a few other products to help identify children with allergies.

Star Allergy AlertsLuckily, Star Allergy Alerts products are now available here in the states, and I had the opportunity to obtain a few of their button and stickers.  Each button or sticker contains an allergy alert and a cute little animal to go along with it.  I personally loved the new “Dairy Free” one with an adorable cow on it, and the “no nuts for me” with an elephant holding a sign.  Each button and sticker was well thought out; my kids loved the cute designs and were happy to sport them on their coats, backpacks, or lunch boxes.  I think the t-shirts would be perfect for children who are not able to communicate yet when heading out on school field trips or summer camps.

Star Allergy AlertsYou can almost bet that at every event, regardless of what the function is, your child may be offered some food.   Some children are old enough to know what they are allergic to; while others may be too young to understand that food can come with severe consequences.  So the concept behind Star Allergy Alerts is fantastic.

If you have a moment I would suggest viewing the array of products available through Star Allergy Alerts at www.starallergyalerts.com.au.  U.S. customers can order their products via their main website (they ship internationally) or Cafepress.
