Namaste Foods Pasta Pisavera (Vegan, Gluten-Free, Soy-Free) PDF Print E-mail

“Good and Spicy, Thanks!” exclaimed my husband just a few minutes after I served him a helping of the Namaste Pasta Pisavera.  I was amazed.  The flavor is remarkably similar to a cheese pizza, yet the ingredients are simple and dairy free.  It was hard to believe that this inconspicuously healthy dish could pack such a flavor punch; no added spices, seasonings, or flavors required.

To make a full meal, I tossed in a handful of mushrooms and just one organic garlic basil sausage for the whole batch.  Though I think a full vegan variety would be equally delicious.  It seemed to be a great base for any left vegetables on hand, or for popular pizza toppings such as olives or pepperoni.

The package made a very generous amount, enough for two hungry adults, or a little crew of four at lunchtime.  Needless to say, we quickly gobbled up every last noodle.  In preparation, I recommend using the full 3T of oil it calls for (particularly if you are adding more ingredients), or experimenting with butter or milk alternatives for a different texture.  Bon appetit!

  • Pros:  Vegan; Free of gluten, wheat, potato, nuts, soy, corn, eggs, and of course dairy; Very natural and healthy ingredients (from hemp seeds to garlic and tomato powder); Crowd pleasing pizza like taste; Versatile; Easy preparation; Environmentally friendly packaging is reusable; Kosher certified
  • Cons:  It is just a touch greasy when prepared purely with oil

Recommended For:

  • Dairy Free Pizza Fans
  • A Quick Meal or Side Dish
  • Using up Leftover Veggies
  • Kids – Big and Small
