Food Should Taste Good Tortilla Chips - New Flavors II (Vegan, Gluten-Free, Soy-Free) PDF Print E-mail

Hannah taste-tested the four new flavors of Food Should Taste Good Tortilla Chips first, but after reading her review, I knew I had to get in on the action:

Yellow Corn (big bag) - I had a really tough decision to make … baked, low-fat, stale-like blue tortilla chips from Trader Joe’s or big, thick, stone-ground yellow corn tortilla chips from Food Should Taste Good. Okay, perhaps the choice wasn’t so tough. One bite of the cardboard-like low-fat chips sent me running for the fresh bag of Food Should Taste Good. The yellow corn chips are fresh tasting, thick, crispy, and perfectly salted … not too much, not too little. They are also jumbo-sized, perfect for scooping up generous mounds of your favorite dip or salsa.

Lime - These came in perfect half moon shapes, and had an amazingly vibrant taste that literally danced on my tongue. Not surprisingly, the lime juice, salt, and corn blend harmoniously. They had an interesting after taste though, that I wasn’t sure if I liked or not. It wasn’t bad at all, just unique. Nonetheless, this is a nice flavor twist for general snacking, party dipping, or for a Mexican themed meal.

Potato Chive – Hannah said these tasted like russet potato skins … and that description is spot on, which is why I LOVE these. They are uniquely hearty, thick, crispy, and deep in chive and russet flavor, without the chemical notes found in typical sour cream and onion chips. As someone who doesn’t hesitate to eat the whole potato, hearty skin and all, this new flavor is definitely my personal favorite.

Cinnamon – Okay, maybe there is a tie for first place … these cinnamon chips are sensational! They are lightly sweet, but not at all sugary, and they have a warm cinnamon flavor through and through. I like that the cinnamon is actually baked in, rather than dusted on, making for a more uniform and deep flavor. The generously sized squares are also lightly salted for contrast. Delicious!
Now  you have heard two unbiased opinions, so go out and taste-test to find your favorite flavors! Trust me, if you like tortilla chips, you will love this brand.
