Pretzel Crisps (Vegan, Soy Free) PDF Print E-mail

We love this concept!  Pretzel Crisps have harnessed all the benefits of a chip, in a fat-free, crispy pretzel cracker.  These addicting little snacks are in essence, flattened pretzels.  This gives them a few key qualities.  First, they can rival the crispiness of a chip or cracker, while still being fat free.  Two, they can easily be baked with flavors, such as garlic and “everything”, on top.  Last but not least, these are perfect for dipping.  Try scooping up salsa or a good dollop of hummus with a regular pretzel.  I have tried it, and can vouch that it isn’t pretty.  Like most pretzels and crackers, Pretzel Crisps are a bit high in sodium.  However, their all-natural ingredients, low fat, and low sugar content help to compensate for this.  Overall, each of our many tasters liked the three varieties (the more flavored the better) and loved the thin crispiness.  Honestly, I can’t believe no one thought of flattening the pretzel before!

  • Pros:  Vegan; Soy-free; All-natural ingredients; Great pretzel flavors; Fat-free
  • Cons:  High in sodium; Uses a touch of refined sugars

Recommended For:

  • Pretzel Fans
  • General Snacking
  • Dipping

Flavor: Original

These baseline Crisps are excellent for dipping.  They are topped with a generous amount of salt, which may be a problem for some, but a flavor enhancer for others.

Flavor: Garlic

As a big fan of garlic, these were my personal favorite.  Just a touch of salt, and a generous dusting of garlic made these Pretzel Crisps a nice accompaniment to most dips.  Sans dip, they were great for snacking right out of the bag as well.

Flavor: Everything

The Everything Crisps definitely won the popularity contest.  Everyone gave them two thumbs up.  Although they can be used for dipping, the addition of sesame seeds, poppy seeds, dehydrated onion and garlic made these a strong stand-alone contender as well.

Where to Buy:

  • In Stores - Major Grocers throughout the U.S. and Canada

As far as I know, most pretzels are vegan (some might contain honey), but we label all product reviews for special diets in the header. Not all products reviewed are vegan (some are just made without milk/dairy, but may contain other animal ingredients), so we note vegan in the header for easy identification.
